Tribal Police Department Deploys TotalConnex
August 1, 2015 –
After receipt of a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a Southwest Tribal Nation police department has begun active deployment of Cinetcomm’s TotalConnex Network system and services. A communications hub is currently being installed at the Tribal Public Safety Operations Center, while Department patrol vehicles are being up-fitted with the necessary interface equipment to incorporate existing radio and mobile computer equipment into their new network.
The TotalConnex solution provides The Nation with 2-way radio, mobile broadband data, and location services direct to the car via a hybrid 3G/4G/LTE/Satellite network backbone, on a least-cost routing, best quality of service basis. The officers will enjoy seamless coverage across 100% of Tribal Lands, the majority of which had previously not been covered. There will be no terrestrial infrastructure to build and maintain across The Nation, only installation of the interface equipment in their patrol vehicles.
There are over 140 vehicles requiring modifications incorporating TotalConnex system upgrades for this Department. The project will continue to evolve in scope and functionality as additional funding becomes available through grants and Tribal fund allocation.
“Cinetcomm is honored to be recognized with this important deployment.” stated Tom D. Soumas, Jr., Cinetcomm’s President and CEO. “Officer safety and service to Tribal Membership will be an important result through adoption of TotalConnex Network technology.”
TotalConnex Network is only one of the diverse offerings available in Cinetcomm’s Critical Infrastructure portfolio of satellite and terrestrial-based hybrid communication solutions. All of Cinetcomm’s connectivity solutions are client customized to seamlessly enable process managed communication functions wherever they might be required across the global landscape.
