CINETCOMM COMPLETES UNIVISION NETWORK TRANSITION

Chatsworth, California – November 26, 2012

Cinetcomm has completed a major satellite and standards transition project for Univision Networks North American Operations. A seven month implementation followed several months of design collaboration between the respective organizations. The project consisted of a satellite transition/consolidation and changing from standard definition to high definition broadcasting for some 1,100 channel receivers at affiliate locations across North America.

Cinetcomm was responsible for fulfilling distribution of new Univision affiliate HD receivers, programming them with affiliate technicians, and ensuring they were ready for a November cutover. Cinetcomm managed the cutover with the Univision affiliates on a 24×7 basis, to ensure a smooth transition between satellites and standards – a compound task.

“This was a complex and demanding project” stated Tom D. Soumas, Jr., Cinetcomm’s President & CEO. “The team performed admirably against ever shifting project priorities and delivered on time and under budget. We were pleased to have been selected for this important technical transition by Spanish language television’s premiere network”.

With completion of this project, Cinetcomm continues to provide Univision with 24×7 network monitoring and affiliate support for North American operations.
